Coaching

Life is so busy. We have so many things competing for space in our brains it can often feel like these thoughts are all jumbled together like a knotted ball of string. We jump from one thing to another, like a circus performer spinning plates, looking for the plate that is about to fall and giving it a bit of a spin to keep it going. Inevitably plates will fall at times.

Coaching provides the opportunity to create some headspace, to allow you time to think clearly and understand how to move forward. It is like drawing out a single thread of thought from the knot of thoughts in their head.

A good coach won’t give you the answers. You can find your own solution, and if its your solution, you will be more committed to it. A coach will help you find your own answers, giving you the space to think, helping guide your through that thinking process and providing a safe space where you can talk through your challenges.

The fundamental aim of coaching is to develop awareness and responsibility. Developing awareness involves better understanding yourself, your actions and your motivations. A coach will help you challenge your assumptions and look from different perspectives. Developing responsibility is committing to do something different, understanding what could be a barrier to success and ensuring your plan is robust enough to overcome these.

Coaching can help you identify your development needs, think through and make important decisions, develop your skills, overcome self-limiting beliefs, think about your career, and much more.
